Sideways Reign: News

A Puget Sound area music festival featuring some of the most renowned bands in the Northwest. Taking place just 15 minutes north of Shelton, WA in the beautiful Skokomish Valley, the event showcases a mulit-genre crossing lineup including jamband, dub, funk, jazz, psychedelic, rock, folk, and reggae artists.

Daytime performances will take place on the outdoor stage until 10pm, then the rest of the performances from 10pm until 4am will take place inside the Skokomish Valley Grange Hall.

Admission is $22 for the entire weekend and $17 for just one day.
Free camping and parking included with ticket purchase.
There are only 300 tickets available for this event and they can be purchased right now at Brown Paper tickets.

Saturday, June 14th, Sideways Reign will be playing John's Alley Tavern in Moscow, Idaho. Right about now would be a good moment to add a potato joke but we don't know one. Not only that, Washington grows more potatos than all the worlds nations COMBINED! Be that as it may, the show is going to rule the schools and rock the blocks. Tonight, Buddist monks will annoint Jean Claude Band Van with truffle oil and incense to give us luck on our voyage. Hooray for road trips!

Heres something we don't really do all that often: Tonight at 360's Music in Shelton, the reign gang will be performing a bunch of songs acoustically. Cody will not be performing as he'll be attending the Chippendales Review at Little Creek Casinon tonight.

So after playing a slew of really great shows this year, the Reign Gang returns to Studio Litho in Seattle to record their first full length album. The album will showcase the bands ever evolving style in a compact disc format that will be easy to utilize.

The long awaited E.P. is on the way! Sideways Reign heads to Studio Litho (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden) to work with producer Floyd Reitsma (High Ceiling, Prescription Holiday) in April. The disc, titled Scale Mt. Epic, will be at least five fan favorite tracks and is due for release late this spring. Details will be available concerning the pre-order soon.

Sideways Reign returns to their perform at their second Springfest April 27-29 2007. The festival is slated to be bigger than ever over three days with 20+ bands. Come see the Reign with legendary jammers High Ceiling and Heliotroupe, among others!

The Reign Gang will be back in action Saturday March 31st at the Robin Hood with the Goodwin Ochsner Duo and on Friday April 6th at the Manette in Bremerton with High Ceiling. Tell your family...tell your friends...and get it good before it's gone!

For about the last year our yahoo e-mail account has been about the only way to get in touch with us, however with the creation of our website we now have our own e-mail. In the next couple of weeks the Reign Gang will be laying down tracks with homeboyz Jesse Knoll and Tim Tharp. So far several songs have been recorded. Expect an E.P. sometime in the near future.

In a effort to continue to provide our friends with the best possible music. Sideways Reign is considering taking a break from performance for a month or two, after the new year. During this time we will be performing maintenence to our instruments, putting the van in the shop, writing new songs and fine tuning old ones. We will also be working on aquiring new merch and even some recording (maybe). See ya'll at Festivus.
